Under general supervision the Temporary Human Resources Assistant will perform confidential administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the County's Human Resources department.
Documents staff changes and participates in the recruitment process.
This position maintains the utmost confidentiality and sensitivity regarding all Human Resources matters and situations, and provides prompt, courteous, accurate and compliant service to internal and external customers.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn recruitment process, basic HR tasks, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), and similar computer application.
Requires timely resolution of inquiries.
Provides prompt courteous service to customers.
Associate degree Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Public Administration, or related field required, bachelor's degree (preferred), or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Experience performing complex and responsible administrative duties in Human Resources.
Excellent word processing and spreadsheet skills.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task several projects.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Valid State of Illinois Driver's License and minimum automobile insurance as required by law.

Benefits:
Under the Illinois Paid Leave For All Workers Act (PLFAW) employees will earn one (1) hour of paid leave for every 40 hours worked.
Paid leave will be available after 90 days of employment.
