Job DescriptionThe Warehouse Operations Intern assists the DC Manager with managing, directing, and organizing the assigned operational department and conducts all related administration activities.
As an Operations Intern no two days are ever the same.
You will work closely with a mentor while learning different business areas and functions within our building.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in directing and monitoring the daily operations in the assigned department, to include systems, process, and technical supportUnder the direction of the DC Manager, coordinates the entire operational department to ensure that all procedures are properly followed in a timely fashionProvide accurate, timely and relevant reports, including key performance indicators, and provide additional assistance as neededPartner with leaders regarding performance by teaching, coaching, training, and delivering timely performance feedbackInteract efficiently and effectively with other departments as needed to resolve discrepancies and move resources based on labor planning needsTake initiative to learn how to be a Harbor Freight leader by seeking out opportunities for growth and development; continuously learn throughout the internship experienceCommit to learning Harbor Freight's expectations of leaders and personally develop skills by asking questions and seeking feedbackDemonstrate willingness to take on challenges and new assignmentsActively participate in internship program training activities, developmental opportunities, and eventsWork with building leaders each day to set goals and expectationsOther duties as assignedScope (Required)Staff supervision and development --NoDecision making- MinimalLocation-- Chicago Distribution CenterFlex Designation - OnsiteRequirementsEducation (Required)Current enrollment in High SchoolSkills (Required)Fluency in EnglishExcellent interpersonal skills including a professional and diplomatic demeanorExcellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentationWillingness to ask questions rather than just follow directions is requiredMust be at least 18 years of ageSafety(DC) Must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices, without endangering the health or safety of self or others.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
