The Provider Relations Representative is responsible for the education of providers regarding PHP policies and procedures, resolving provider issues and coordinating provider relations communications. This position covers Joliet Region.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Orientation and education of physicians, office staff, billing services, and hospital personnel regarding PHP policies & procedures.
Work closely with member services, claims, and medical management departments to identify the providers who require education on claims submission, capitation, billing, referral authorization, and credentialing.
Recruit physicians to participate in PHP risk and non-risk plans as identified by senior leadership.
Engage selected physicians for participation in the Clinical Integration (CI) Program.
1-3 years' experience in provider relations is required.
Bachelor's degree is required.
Must be well-organized, detail oriented, and an independent thinker.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
