Electrical Controls Engineer

Join the Ecolab team in the Joliet, IL chemical manufacturing plant as the Electrical Controls Engineer. As a member of our Reliability team, you will help support and transform the chemical manufacturing culture to an efficient and effective workplace, implementing processes and tools using Total Production Management (TPM) strategies.
Ecolab in Joliet is looking for an experienced Corporate Electrical Controls Engineer with excellent communication skills and knowledge of process control systems related to the manufacturing industry. Individual must be able to perform independently or as a member of a project team.
The Engineer will be responsible for the design, installation and start-up of chemical dispensing & application equipment, CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems and facility cleaning equipment; and will be required to provide accurate and timely customer service assistance on previously installed systems. This person will be responsible to perform all duties in a safe and professional manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES Design, Development, Testing
Design process control systems, create/modify site specific drawings, specify/order material and develop supporting documentation
Develop PLC and HMI programming with or without existing templates
Perform equipment checkout (verify quality of manufacturing and test performance)
Review & approve Quotes and Scopes of Work
Coordinate project activities with other Ecolab associates, outside vendors/contractors and customers
Produce clear and timely documentation including trip reports, as-built/as-installed drawings and project updates
RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Support
Perform site surveys (identification and documentation of existing customer equipment & processes)
Support equipment on-site, including startup, customer training and troubleshooting
Provide training to Reliability Technicians
Provide remote technical assistance/troubleshooting for installed systems
RESPONSIBILITIES - Innovation
Assist with development of new offerings and refinement/update of existing offerings.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience in industrial process control
Familiarity with electrical schematics and process flow diagrams (EFD, P&ID)
AutoCAD experience
Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) PLC/HMI programming experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2
years of experience in a chemical facility
Control panel design experience
CIP experience
Excellent communication and organizational skills

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
